What is your turn around time for clothing alterations?
My standard turnaround time for clothing alterations is typically between 5 days to 3 weeks. Please keep in mind that the exact timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of the alterations and our current workload. If you have specific deadlines or special requests, feel free to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Do you take walk-ins? or do i need to make an appointment?
I don’t take walk-ins. All alterations and custom work are by appointment only due to the nature of my home studio setup and limited availability.
If you’re interested in booking, please complete the client intake form. I’ll review your request and let you know if an appointment is available, or if you’ve been added to the waitlist.
How long do you need for the dressmaking service?
My dressmaking service is a meticulous process that involves careful craftsmanship and attention to detail to create a garment that perfectly suits your preferences. Our standard turnaround time for the full dressmaking service is a minimum of 4 months to 8 months. This timeframe allows us to dedicate the necessary time and expertise to every aspect of the dress, ensuring the highest quality and a dress that exceeds your expectations. Please be aware that the specific duration may depend on the complexity of the design and any additional customization requests.
What is your turn around time for Wedding dress alterations?
For bridal alterations a minimum of 10 weeks is usually required for completion. It is recommended to allow as much time as possible, especially if you are having a destination wedding. As always, If you have specific deadlines or special requests, feel free to let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Sewing Lessons
​I’m a total beginner — is that okay?
Absolutely! My lessons are beginner-friendly and tailored to your level, even if you’ve never touched a sewing machine before.
​What do I need to bring?
​I provide the sewing machine, tools, and basic materials for beginner lessons. If you’re working on a specific project or bringing your own garments, I’ll let you know what to bring in advance.
​Can I bring my own sewing machine?
Yes! In fact, if you'd like to learn on your own machine, I encourage it. That way, you’ll be more confident using it at home. Plus, you get a small discount on your lesson if you BYO Sewing machine.
How long are the lessons?
Lessons are typically 2.5 hours long (or 90 minutes for parent & child sessions). Alteration-focused lessons may be 90 minutes, depending on the content.
​What kind of things will I learn?
Depending on your goals, we can cover how to use a sewing machine, Machine safety, basic stitching, hemming, zipper insertion, simple garment construction, pattern reading, or even DIY alterations.
​Will I be able to finish a whole project in one session?
The short answer is - No, but, it depends on the complexity of your project and your experience level. I’ll help set realistic expectations and break it into manageable steps if needed.
​What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
​I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel. This helps me manage my limited studio availability fairly.

​Is there a waitlist?
​Yes. Because I work solo and have limited spots, filling out the pre-screening form doesn't guarantee a booking — but if you're a good fit and I have space, I’ll get in touch to offer times.
​Can I learn how to alter my own clothes?
​Definitely! I offer a “Learn to Do Your Own Alterations” option where you bring your own clothes and I’ll guide you through things like hemming, taking in seams, and simple fixes.
